3. How can RESEARCH TOOLBOX help you?
The aim of our software is to make your life easier, leaving you more time to do the actual research. Our research group has found that some projects were completed, with better quality, in half the time previously required. Let us now discuss how RESEARCH TOOLBOX can be of help to you.
a) Literature study: RESEARCH TOOLBOX has four useful elements concerned with the literature survey. These are Literature and Reference Sources, Literature and Reference Organiser, Literature and Reference Capturing and Reference Builder. We shall say a few words about each of them:
The biggest hurdle for many, but especially for new researchers, is simply getting started. Literature and Reference Sources enables you to "jump start" your literature survey, using your library’s or your research group’s customised database of information sources. This also helps new researchers to become fully aware of all the services offered by their library.
Literature and Reference Organiser provides you with the perfect structure to store and manage all types of literature information (e.g. text, tables, charts, equations, etc.) and their accompanying references. The information with its references can easily be inserted into any Microsoft Word document with the click of a button.
It is also now a trivial matter to automatically capture information from Internet sites and any electronic database, using Literature and Reference Capturing. For those of us who have done large literature studies this is absolute bliss!
Finally, you are able to specify any reference methods for a particular report or article using our Reference Builder. This makes it very easy to be consistent in your referencing.
b) Research proposal and planning: Proposal and Planner is probably the most important program in the suite.
